MAIN OBJECTIVES:

Ensure that all technical and  activities of Gulf Air are carried out according to the standards required by the relevant support agreements, to the requirements contained within the approved Aircraft Maintenance Programme, the responsible national authorities and in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

 

MAIN DUTIES:

 

 (Against primary discipline). By Aircraft/System/Subject Responsibility(by ATA Chapter assignment):

 

  • Systems:- 21, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 35, 36, 37, and 38.

  • Avionics:- 22, 23, 24, 31, 33, 34, 39, 45, 46, 74, and 77.

    

  1. Coordination and implementation of the Fleet Team functions to ensure the regulatory compliance of the aircraft within the fleet.

  2. Monitoring the activities of the fleet hour agreement services providers to ensure that they are fulfilling their contract and meeting the needs of Gulf Air.

  3. Evaluating the quality of the service provided by the service providers such that it meets with agreed and approved standards. Initiating improvement activities where required.

  4. Support SMEA and to prepare and develop business plans to identify cost, implementation schedules that will be escalated to Executive Board level for review and approval.

  5. Participation in the various aircraft Reliability Programs in partnership with the service providers. Providing input and initiating actions that result in improved maintenance and operational procedures.

  6. Liaising and coordination with manufactures, service providers and other suppliers on technical issues at the operational level.

  7. Ensuring that Gulf Air’s and the service provider’s procedures are complied with while maintenance is carried out on the Gulf Air fleet.

  8. Undertake any special assignment and project as defined and directed by the MFTS.

  9. Attend internal and external meeting as directed by SME or MFT.

  10. Discharge position responsibilities and duties in such a manner that defined performance and achievement goals can be satisfied.

EDUCATIONS AND TRAINING:

A relevant engineering degree or an aircraft maintenance qualification with additional education acceptable to the BCAA. ‘relevant engineering degree’ means an engineering degree from aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionic or other studies relevant to the maintenance and continuing airworthiness of aircraft/aircraft components

Minimum 7 years of aviation technical  experience of which 4 years should be in  aircraft systems maintenan
