MAIN OBJECTIVES:

To support the Engineering and Maintenance Team by managing the Development of Engineering IT systems.

Supervise all Engineering Technical Publication Duties and responsibility to ensure that all documents and manuals are updated, maintained, controlled, and distributed in the most cost effective manner.

Control and supervise the records keeping and archiving system and Coordinate with various GF departments for MIS and technical publication interactions and functions.

MAIN DUTIES:

1. Take care of all business administration of the Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering System (AMOS) including user management, workflow definition and maintenance, management of vendor service requests and change requests from a business view. In conjunction with Maintenance and Engineering Management develop and implement changes to working practices to better suit the system.

2. Works closely with GF IT and vendor to identify the required data to be migrated from different sources to the new MRO system (AMOS) and to manage the extraction of this data with different technical engineering key users. Insures that the data is being verified and corrected by the key users as per the feedback from the vendor during each data migration cycle.

3. Handle Business Administration of the FLYDOC Document management System including user management, workflow definition and maintenance, management of vendor service requests and change requests from a business.

4. Management and development of the delivery of technology to engineering and maintenance e.g. tablet devices to line maintenance, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) solutions, materials bar-coding etc. To include business case analysis and business impact.

5. Determine IT system training requirements and provide engineering and maintenance system end user training. Also arrange training for IT and MIS for all Engineering staff.

6. Establish and manage new release strategy for Engineering and Maintenance applications.

7. Implement and manage application testing and acceptance during new release and patching.

8. Carry out business process mapping of engineering and maintenance applications, evaluate, determine best course of action and implement change.

9. Develop and manage the interface between IT support, IT projects and Engineering and maintenance.

10. Working with Engineering Section for any Aircraft’s software configuration and generate the action process

11. Review engineering publication functions on the technical documents update and follow up.

12. Coordinate with various GF Departments for Engineering Publications requirements.

13. Coordinate with Technical Publication Supervisor to provide corrective action for all engineering publications related audit findings.

EDUCATIONS AND TRAINING:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering System Management, or IT science based subject or equivalent certification.

• Aviation knowledge would be a privilege.

• Pc literate.

• Good command of written/spoken English Language.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

1. Minimum 10 years experience in a business focused Aviation Technical IT support role i.e. AMOS Maintenance Information System

2. Airline experience in related function.

3. Experience of business process mapping.
