MAIN OBJECTIVES:

The Digital Marketing Specialist will support Gulf Air’s email campaign operations and reporting as well as regular and ad hoc digital reporting. And develop cross-marketing and testing campaigns in addition to supporting email campaign setup.

He/She will contribute to the briefing process and support the delivery of campaigns to meet exacting deadlines by managing each step in the workflow. The job holder will need some basic coding ability in HTML.

Responsible for the execution and optimisation of the digital display campaigns, Search Engine Optimisation and Search Engine Marketing. Moreover, to improve conversion rates for digital marketing campaigns and Gulf Air’s website and subsites.

Resposible for daily iteration of digital marketing campaigns through all areas of the campaigns life cycle, with high focus on building the social media presence of the brand, using tags, promotions, user engagement and knowledge of algorithms.

MAIN DUTIES:
  1. Supports and proactively manage the development and execution of all digital marketing initiatives including social media, website, and automation programs. Moreover, help improve position of ecommerce platforms.
  2. Develop a website traffic plan and create goals and benchmarks to meet.
  3. Optimize website and social media channels for SEO as well as usability.
  4. Execute and track Search Engine Optimisation and Search Engine Marketing campaigns.
  5. Develop social media plans and owns the social media content calendar, and direct efficient use of paid search.
  6. Prepare online newsletters and promotional emails and organize their distribution through various channels.
  7. Provide creative ideas for content marketing and update website.
  8. Collaborate with the team to improve user experience.
  9. Track campaign ROI (Return on Investment) and provide insights for marketing based on data performance.
  10. Manage social media channels, including publishing content and actively monitor its effectiveness and results.
  11. Manage daily operations of social media channels, including theme, skin, or layout changes, when appropriate.
  12. Monitor conversations and consumer comments, report opportunities and take appropriate action.
  13. Ensuring all digital marketing campaigns are delivered on time and within budget
  14. A/B Testing campaigns to trial new ideas for effectiveness
  15. Working to strict deadlines and KPI’s as set by the Manager Digital Operations
  16. Supporting the Marketing team in uploading content across our websites and portals.
  17. Establish a variety of automated campaigns to support customer lifecycle marketing
  18. Segment audiences and optimize campaigns to increase effectiveness
  19. Identify additional digital channels to regularly communicate Gulf Air products and offerings to target audience
  20. Leverage research and competitive intel to position Gulf Air as the airline of choice
  21. Review website regularly: check links, enhance user experience, assure site is easy-to-navigate and runs at optimal performance
  22. Check originality of site, ensuring content is not duplicated on other platforms
  23. Serve as a brand ambassador to ensure all material consistently portrays the Gulf Air brand promise, identity and positioning
  24. Follow campaign operations best practices as developed by the Digital Operations Manager.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing with good industry knowledge
  • Strong knowledge in the area of content production for the internet (text, images, HTML and other multimedia).
  • Experience in data management platform will have an added advantage
  • Extensive internet marketing knowledge, with particular reference to Search Engine Optimisation, e-Mail marketing, SEM and display advertising.
  • Have a thorough understanding of database marketing best practices.  
  • Technical and/or web education (formal or on the field).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is essential.
Qualifications:
  • University degree level of education (diploma) in Business Management, IT or Marketing
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and is able to articulate his/her views crisply and convincingly.
  • Experience working with data, with the ability to see trends and to extract actionable insights from data to drive results
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads and Facebook Ads Manager, or demonstrated ability to learn new systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting all assigned deadlines
