MAIN OBJECTIVES:

To accomplish core functions of Aircraft Technical Maintenance Planning department; to ensure Gulf Air Fleet of aircrafts are maintained to the highest standards, in line with all requirements and regulations pertaining to the functional area. To assist the team and ensure accomplishment of all planned routine and non-routine activities on time, in budget and to the expected quality and safety standards.

MAIN DUTIES:

 

  
  • Monitor and maintain Gulf Air fleet maintenance forecasts and schedules through AMOS maintenance system.
  • Monitor aircraft utilization and create Line and Base maintenance work packages and ensure parts and materials are scheduled for A Checks, C Checks and other heavy maintenance inputs, including high level of involvement in the aircraft induction and phase out.
  • Ensure that all such assigned maintenance tasks and Checks are always accomplished within established threshold/interval dimensions, as specified in the approved Gulf Air Aircraft Maintenance programmes.
  • Co-ordinate with Production Planning and other relavent departments through pre-input meetings and daily brefings to ensure all maintenance inputs are thoroughly planned and executed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and review  Airworthiness Directives (AD), Service Bulletins (SB), and other engineering documents to ensure parts, tools, and facilities are planned in coordination with other departments for timely compliance with scheduled maintenance inputs.
  • Control & monitoring of Hard Time components for opportunistic replacement at Line during available ground times and with Base during scheduled maintenance inputs.
  • Review and plan Deferred Defects, including repeat inspections and repairs and schedule along with scheduled maintenance inputs.
  • Reconcile maintenance plans to accommodate operational requirements and coordinate recovery plans for operational disruptions and develop alternative maintenance plans for planned inputs. Respond to AOG situations, to create recovery workpackages such as in the case of unscheduled engine changes.
  • Work effectively and in full co-ordination with team members to support and assist as requested and in times of un-expected workloads. Attend immediately to any percieved quality deficiencies and also respond effectively to internal and external quality audits.
  • Respond to special tasks or responsibility,  with high level of  responsibility and involvement and complete effectively and on time, using industry best practice such as in case of aircraft induction, phase out, special maintenance inputs etc.
Experience:

 

Must be conversant with the aircraft maintenance concepts and schedules, airworthiness limitations and regulations with excellent understanding of relavent aircraft documentation such as MPD/AMP, A.D/S.B, AMM, IPC etc.

In-depth knowledge and experience with aircraft maintenance and engineering software (AMOS) is highly preferred.

Must have very good knowledge and experience in preparation of work packages for aircraft Line Maintenance and Heavy Maintenance such as C-checks and above. Must have good understanding of aircraft lease return requirements and preparation of such workpscopes.

Prior qualification and experience in Aircraft maintenance, Workshops, Production planning, Technical records or a related environment is an added advantage.

Must be computer proficient, with excellent skills in MS Office applications.

Good command of technical English with excellent writing and team working skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field, or an aircraft license/qualification with additional.
