Main Objectives:
The main objective of this job holder is to monitor the present and future maintenance pattern of the GF fleet undergoing hangar/base maintenance in Bahrain. The job holder should be responsible for calling all scheduled maintenance in a timely and cost-effective manner and maintain the GF fleet within stipulated rules & regulations of airworthiness authority with the highest safety & airworthiness standards without compromising quality.
Main Duties:
1. Responsible for detailed and accurate analysis, forecasting, and planning of work cards extracted from the relevant hangar work package.
2. Responsible to negotiate and take the necessary corrective action for those tasks left behind or withdrawn from a particular work package.
3. Continued liaison with short-term planning, fleet planning, IOCC and base maintenance on the progress of the checks. Coordinating maintenance, analyzing forecasts of the time-limited requirements for assigned aircraft or power plants and reviewing maintenance requirements generated by other departments.
4. Monitor aircraft maintenance patterns and assess the effect on planned maintenance inputs of changes as they occur including the impact of AOG situations.
5. Assess the impact on planned maintenance changes from effects of the operational pattern of the airline and re-schedules accordingly to ensure compliance of the planned maintenance.
6. Develop a plan and coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering Services and Materials for all modifications, inspections, and repairs on the Gulf Air fleet to ensure the availability of manpower, materials, tools, equipment, downtime and necessary paperwork.
7. Apply best industry practices and propose continuous improvement methodologies to optimize maintenance with a creative approach.
8. Improve maintenance productivity and work quality within the department by anticipating and eliminating delays and introducing effective planning methods.
9. Review and analyze the maintenance inputs and the available resources, understand possible potential delays in advance which can be arising in the Line and Hanger and take shortage action to avoid such situations to achieve high technical dispatch reliability.
10. Ensure timely dispatch of information with regard to aircraft serviceability during hangar inputs or change to the planned aircraft input and maintenance planning.
11. Ensure all tooling, and special equipment are available for any special modifications.
12. Coordinate recovery in the event of aircraft incidents/accidents in accordance with the Gulf Air Technical Instructions Manual (TIM).
13. Provide detailed guidance and necessary information to prepare maintenance instructions and work packages. Ensure accuracy of contents for routine and non-routine maintenance and monitoring their compliance in accordance with the Technical Instruction Manual (TIM) closing work packages after review and updating of system software. Taking appropriate action for incomplete work.
14. Ensure that all assigned maintenance tasks and checks are accomplished within the established intervals, and never exceed intervals, as specified within the approved Gulf Air Aircraft Maintenance Programs.
15. Ensure that all assigned controlled tasks, life limitations and Airworthiness Directives issued as controlled by the approved Aircraft Manufacturer’s call-ups.
16. Attend all the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance pre-input meetings, as directed by the BM, MP&TR. Attending daily briefings with regard to operational issues impacting maintenance and aircraft disruptions.
17. Attend and support internal and external meetings, as directed by the BM, MP&TR .
18. Respond as instructed by the BM, MP&TR to quality deficiencies in the Department when they arise from both internal and external independent quality audits.
19. Discharge individual position responsibilities and duties such that defined performance and achievement goals are satisfied.
20. Special assignments, tasks and responsibilities with a high level of involvement in the aircraft induction and phase-out, as defined by SMBM.
21. Coordinate all activities of assigned projects with Supply Management to ensure the total accomplishment of the project from the initial request, material specifications to final installation, in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
Experience:
Total 7 years Aviation technical experience including 5 years in Aircraft Maintenance production Planning environment.

Qualifications:
A relevant Engineering degree or appropriately licensed ICAO typeII /equivalent aircraft maintenance engineering license holder with either B1/B2 basic license.
‘A relevant engineering degree’ means an engineering degree from aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionic or other studies relevant to the maintenance and continuing airworthiness of aircraft/aircraft components.
Attended at least one type-rated training on one of company type aircraft and preferably with one type rated endorsed on license.
