Main Objectives:
• To regulate and control the crewmembers schedule in accordance with Bahrain CAA rules and Gulf Air Operations Manual.
• To achieve the most efficient utilization of crew maintaining on-time performance and ensuring all safety standards


Main Duties:
• Being aware of the current state of the Operations and the effect on the crew schedules of any actual and potential operational disruption.
• Put into effect the plan of action from Senior Crew Controller to resolve disruption with the minimum possible effect on the company’s operation and the crewmember schedules.
• Modify and monitor that all changes to the published crew schedules are advised to all parties concerned. This includes advising the Crew, Out Stations, Hotels and any Ground Transport. Obtaining acknowledgements and confirmation that any requested transaction has been carried out. Also ensuring any changes away from base to crew schedules must have notification to the Captain, First Officer, Cabin Manager, as well as Out Stations, Hotels and Ground Transport with appropriate follow up.
• Ensure that, at all times, the crew schedules comply with the legal limitation as imposed by Bahrain CAA, the Company Operations Manuals (OMA), Crew Control procedures and any Company Policy that may be applicable.
• Perform the notification to crewmembers family if a crewmembers’ schedule is extended greater than six hours.
• Reconfirm flight crew dead heading on Gulf Air flights. Reconfirmation of all flight crew positioning on alternate international airlines.
• Consider crewmembers requests for day off in lieu, analysis of the crew roster situation ensuring not to jeopardize the Company’s operation with granting of these requests.
• Monitor crewmember flying hours and advising the Senior Crew Controller if flying hours near or reach the maximum block times, which may require the Senior Crew Controller to take appropriate action to rectify the legality problem.
• Approve and action crew roster swaps, checking legality (days off etc. and compatibility c/c position, nationality).
• Provide pilot and cabin crew for VIP & VVIP flights ensuring these flights operate with commercially and operationally acceptable crewmembers.
• Ensure all flights depart with correct cabin crew complement, also the legal Arabic speaker requirement, and as well all other language requirement are taken into consideration.
• Ensure all crew rosters are carried over legally from the old to the new rosters.
• Ensure cabin crew familiarization flights for new joiners comply with BCAA requirement.
• Ensure all telephones are answered in a timely manner.
• Keep an open channel of communication with cabin crew briefing, with regards to no shown, late cabin crew, offloaded cabin crew, welfare issues, etc…
• Liaise with cabin crew department on the issues of emergency leave, training issues, medical issue, duty travel, crew welfare, etc…
• Report to Senior Crew Controller all Pilot training related issues that involve missed sectors, missed checks, and re-scheduled line checks/training, all sick call outs of any planned training activities.
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years experience within an International Airline.
• Ability to work unsupervised under pressure using considerable amount of self initiative in a constantly changing environment.

Qualifications:
• HND (Higher National Diploma) or equivalent with relevant training course related to airline operations.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
• Must be fluent in the English language (written and verbal)
